Accessibility
Samurai Sudoku Solver · Last updated 12 July 2026
Scan & Solve inherits Samuraiku's accessibility work: the solution and every control are built for VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, and high contrast.
VoiceOver
The solved board is fully navigable: each cell announces its row, column, and digit, and the clues you scanned are distinguished from the answers the app filled in. Every control — Share, Scan Another, Learn in Samuraiku — is labelled.
Dynamic Type
Text scales with your system text-size setting.
Contrast & color
The solution honors Increase Contrast and Differentiate Without Color, and adapts to Dark Mode — the same board engine as Samuraiku.
Haptics
A successful read is confirmed with a haptic, not a visual cue alone.
Scanning, with spoken guidance
Pointing the camera at a printed grid is a visual task — so when VoiceOver is on, the app guides you by voice. It prompts you to point the camera and hold steady, announces “Sudoku in view — hold steady while I read it” the moment it detects the puzzle, and confirms the read with a haptic. Framing still takes some sight, and we want to do more here — tell us what would help.
