Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 1, 2026
Samuraiku is built to respect your privacy completely. The short version: Samuraiku does not collect, store, or share any personal information about you. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no advertising, and no third-party analytics or tracking.
Information we collect
None. Samuraiku has no servers of its own and does not send your information anywhere. Your puzzles, progress, settings, and statistics live on your device (and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage).
Camera
If you use the “Scan a puzzle” feature, Samuraiku uses your device camera to read a printed Sudoku. This happens entirely on your device. The camera image is used only to recognize the puzzle grid and is never saved to your photo library, never uploaded, and never transmitted anywhere. Camera access is requested only when you tap to scan, and you can decline or revoke it at any time in the Settings app.
Game Center
If you choose to sign in to Game Center, Apple manages leaderboards and achievements on your behalf under Apple’s Privacy Policy. Samuraiku submits your puzzle times and unlocked achievements to Game Center, but does not receive your name, email, or other personal details. Using Game Center is optional; the game is fully playable without it.
iCloud
If iCloud is enabled on your device, Samuraiku uses Apple’s private iCloud key-value storage to sync your settings and progress across your own devices. This data is tied to your Apple ID and is not accessible to us or to anyone else.
Purchases
Samuraiku is a one-time paid app. Payment is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment information.
Children
Samuraiku is suitable for all ages and collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
